Join the WRDA for our next webinar on Tuesday night April 19 from 7pm to 9pm— “LGBTQ+ 101 for Nutrition Professionals.” WRDA is partnering with the Rockland Pride Center to address the need for nutrition professionals who are welcoming towards and conversant in working with the LGBTQ+ community, especially those who may be gender-nonconforming, transgendered, and transitioning. This program is designed as an entry point to educate our members and build referring relationships between nutrition practitioners and a leading local LGBTQ+ community organization. The Pride Center develops cutting-edge curriculum designed to support professionals at all levels to become more confident in meeting the needs of LGBTQ+ patients. WRDA has applied to CDR for 1.5 credits for this program.
Registration for this event is limited to 25 participants to better foster discussion and dialogue. This program will be offered free of charge to current WRDA members only. We will maintain a waiting list for those who register beyond the cap and will consider adding a second session if there is sufficient demand.
