Westchester Rockland Dietetic Association is pleased to be hosting the 4th Annual Career Panel for students, together with Pace University. The Career Panel aims to introduce high school and college students interested in health and science to the career choice of Registered Dietitian Nutritionist or Nutrition and Dietetics Technician-Registered. The virtual event will take place April 8, 2021 at 7 PM -8:30 PM via Zoom.
Students will hear from Registered Dietitian-Nutritionists (RDNs) and Nutrition and Dietetic Technicians-Registered (NDT-Rs) about the myriad of opportunities in the field of nutrition and dietetics. RDN’s will share insights from their own career paths, reflect upon the importance of incorporating their culture into their practice, discuss how they were encouraged to get involved in this field and how they have overcome barriers to entry and other hurdles throughout their careers. There will be opportunities to virtually network with other students and professionals as well as a question and answer session. This is a wonderful opportunity for students who are already on the path to a career in the field of nutrition as well as students who are interested in health and science, but are not sure what their next step should be.
